Michael J. Collesano, LLM
Principal Broker
Mr. Collesano is a real estate broker and admitted to practice law in New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court. He also has been admitted to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal District Courts for Western, Southern and Eastern New York. He maintains a law practice in Manhattan focused on real estate.
In 2004, Mr. Collesano was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 27th District of New York. He established his practice in New York City and Western New York in 2001 after working in Washington, D.C. as Legislative Counsel to Congressman John J. LaFalce (29th Congressional District of New York) and the U.S. House of Representative’s Financial Services Committee. In the early 1990s, Michael also worked for the Hang Seng Stock Exchange in Hong Kong, and was one of the first people trained to trade equity options in the market.
He holds an LL.M. degree in International Banking from Boston University School of Law (1996), a J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law (1995), and a B.A. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University (1991). A native English speaker, he also is conversational Mandarin Chinese.
Mandy Lim-Collesano, LLM
Associate Broker
Mandy was born in Malaysia, to parents of Chinese ancestry. She was raised in Borneo where she attended Lodge Preparatory School from kindergarten to secondary school. Mandy moved to Australia and read law at the University of Tasmania, Hobart. In 2006, she came to Manhattan to receive her B.A. at The City College of New York.
Having moved between three continents and around almost every neighborhood in Manhattan, from Battery Park City to Harlem, Mandy understands and has experienced first-hand the challenges and frustrations of juggling culture shock, new friends, school work, new workplace as well as finding a place to live. What initially started out as advising friends of friends about neighborhoods and assisting with finding places to live, progressed into Mandy’s career – real estate.
Prior to joining NYC Property Expo, Inc., Mandy worked at Halstead Property and Bond New York.
Mandy speaks English, Malay, Indonesian, Mandarin, and dialects of Cantonese, Chaozhou and Taiwanese Hokkien. Mandy works for the Board of Elections on election days, and consults as a translator proficient in multiple languages for federal administration proceedings. Mandy enjoys gourmet cooking, skiing and sailing. She resides with her four (yes 4) cats, Murphy, Margot, Molly, and Little Kitty and her husband in Midtown. Mandy is a proud member of the American Scandinavian Society.
Carl Bishop

NYC Property Expo is thrilled to welcome our newest Team member, Carl Bishop!
Carl grew up in Buffalo, New York, graduated from S.U.N.Y. Fredonia in 1991, and embarked on a career as a radio host, first in his hometown and then in Houston, Texas.
With his sights set on making it in New York City, he laid down roots in Manhattan’s East Village in 2005 and became a freelance Voice Actor and Audio Engineer. He’s worked with Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, David Duchovny, Suzanne Somers, Donny Osmond, Don McLean, Ice Cube, and even Snookie!
Carl has intimate knowledge of every one of Manhattan’s neighborhoods, from the top to the tip of the Island. He splits his time between his apartment in Stuyvesant Town and a beautiful 0.58 acre property he and his husband Christian restored in the Mid-Hudson valley Town of Wappingers Falls. Their gardens, designed and constructed by Carl and Christian, are the talk of social media. For twenty years Carl owned a rental/vacation property in Miami Beach, Florida, and became an AirBnB aficionado and Super Host.
His experience as an owner, renter and property manager affords Carl the expertise to advise those looking to buy, sell or rent, either in New York City or upstate along the Hudson river valley.
Carl loves to ski, was in several bands as a drummer and vocalist, travels, and has a passion for ornamental gardening. He and Christian are happily married, and both are looking forward to their next cat.
Boris Berenshteyn

Boris was born in Kishinev, capital of Moldova, formerly part of the USSR. After earning B.A. in Engineering Degree from the City College, he worked as a construction manager for 4 years. Under his supervision, 4 residential buildings were built, which gave living space to 296 families. Working for the Consulting Company of Construction Technology as a Senior Engineer, he advanced to Leading Engineer and to Head of Department’s Section. He supervised a group of construction engineers and designed technology of construction for new and unique buildings, and restoration of antique and damaged buildings.
Boris emigrated to the United States in 1991 with his wife and young son, and carrying all his worldly possessions. American life began from scratch.
His started work in America was as building maintenance worker and maintenance mechanic at the Doral Court on 39th Street off Park Avenue while continuing to pursue a real estate education. He was worked at an exclusive Upper West Side pre-war building for many years.
Potential buyers have the benefit of his experience. His experience and skill allow him as a Real Estate Salesperson to know how a property is built, what is behind the walls, what systems are in the building, what an apartment may need to improve, how to have renovations done affordably and well, and how a property can be evaluated with all these things in mind together.
Boris’ friendly personality and positive attitude allow him to communicate well with all different kinds of people. He also takes real estate photography, using special technique, which not requires any disturbing additional lighting.
Boris’ passion is traveling, cooking and photography. He lives in Lower East Side of Manhattan with his wife. Boris has 2 children and two grandchildren. He speaks fluent English, Russian and understands some Ukrainian language.
